Factory restore (master reset) is a program in windows computer, which helps us to erase all current settings and revert our computer to manufacture or older date.

In other words, if we got any bad update in our windows systems recently, which is causing sound is not working problem, then we can simply perform system restore in our computer. so it can erase all updates and restore our computer to the back date. when it was working fine.

Factory restore can reset your computer settings only, it will not delete or recover any data stored on your computer.

Steps for default factory restore a windows computer using command prompt-

  1. Open run box (press windows + R key) .
  2. Type cmd and press ok.
  3. Now type rstrui.exe , press enter.
  4. Now you will able to see system restore window on your computer. so you need to click next.
  5. Now you will able to see restore point, so you ned to choose the date, when your computer was working fine.
  6. Now you will able to see confirmation window, so you need to click on restore.

Finally your computer will start restoring your computer, you can wait for a while and then you need to take a look this will start working fine.

  1. click on start,
  2. type system restore in search box,
  3. click on system restore from search results,
  4. Now you will able to see system restore window on your computer. so you need to click next.
  5. Now you will able to see restore point, so you ned to choose the date, when your computer was working fine.
  6. Now you will able to see confirmation window, so you need to click on restore.
